Trix

Introduced by Jack Hutson in the 1980s. A momentum oscillator that displays the rate of change of a triple exponentially smoothed moving average of closing prices. The interpretation follows the typical oscillator analysis: crossing of the zero line, divergence and extreme levels. It works well during a trending market but suffers from false signals during a range.
