Renko Charts
A Japanese charting method developed, which means brick. A brick is drawn whenever the price is equal to, or exceeds the minimum amount/box size, in the direction of the trend. A green or white brick is drawn for an upward move exceeding the brick size, and a red or black for the opposite move. A popular box size to use is the Average True Range of the financial instrument. Renko charts help to filter out noise in the market by not registering price movements smaller than the box size.
