Descending Triangle

A variation of the symmetrical triangle that usually appears in a downtrend which is mostly considered as a bearish continuation pattern. It consists of two trendlines where the upper trendline is sloping downwards while the lower trendline is flat. The descending triangle is completed on a decisive close below the lower trendline on increased volume. The minimum price target is estimated by projecting the height of the triangle downwards from the breakout point.
