Open Interest

Reflects the number of futures contracts that have not been closed at the end of the day. It reveals money flowing in as the open interest increases, and money flowing out as it decreases. A rising open interest signifies strong sentiment and a “healthy” trend, whereas a declining open interest indicates a weak sentiment.
