Fractals (Williams Fractal)

A fractal indicator is a technical tool developed by Bill Williams. It is used to identify tops and bottoms on the price chart. There are two types of fractals: Up Fractal and Down Fractal. The Up Fractal consists of five bars (or candlesticks) where the highest high is preceded by two lower highs to the left, and followed by two lower highs to the right. Conversely, the Down Fractal is comprised of five bars where the lowest low is preceded by two higher lows to the left and followed by two higher lows to the right.
