Evening Star

A bearish reversal candlestick pattern that is formed at the top of an uptrend or near a resistance area. It consists of three Japanese candlesticks. The first candle, a long white body, forms in the direction of the trend confirming the buyers’ pressure. Subsequently, a small body of either color gaps higher. Eventually, a bearish candle closes below the midpoint of the first candle indicating a potential decline.
