Eclipse Attack

Refers to an attack that involves a malicious interferance with network nodes to obsucre the participants' view of the peer-to-peer network and feed them incorrect data. The goal is to cause general disruption, potentially paving the way for more sophisticated attacks and fraudulent acts such as double spending.
