Bollinger Bands %B

A technical analysis indicator derived from Bollinger Bands. It indicates the position of the current price in relation to the Bands. For example, a reading of 1.0 indicates that the current price is at the Upper Band. A reading higher than 1.0 implies a position above the Upper Band. Similarly, a reading of 0.0 indicates that the current price is at the Lower Band where a negative reading is below it. A reading of 0.5 positions the current price at the Simple Moving Average. The formula is as follows: (Current Price – Lower BB) / (Upper BB – Lower BB).
