Bollinger Bands

Developed by John Bollinger in the 1980s. A technical analysis indicator that measures volatility and price extremes. It is constructed by a Simple Moving Average (SMA) and two bands around it. The Upper Band is calculated at +2 standard deviations above the SMA, whereas the Lower Band is calculated at -2 standard deviations below the SMA.
