Asset Class

A financial asset class is a collection or group of investment “vehicles” also known as financial instruments that share similar characteristics, behavior, purchase and redemption processes, and, of course, the corresponding governing regulations. In general, there are three to five asset classes: • Equities/Stocks • Bonds/Fixed-income securities • Money market and cash equivalents • Real estate • Derivatives
