The history began back in 1977 when Mr. Gianni's uncle from the USA asked his nephew to find the best Greek raw materials to create the first donuts in Greece. Back then Mr. Giannis was a student in the Department of Food Technology in Athens therefore he had a deep insight into the available raw materials. Throughout his involvement in the project, he created his own donut recipe, using the best available raw materials, and in 1979 he founded Nanou Donuts House. Today, Nanou is the largest donut producer in Greece, with a secret recipe, where each donut is made by hand!
